Post 21
Good beautiful Saturday, my duckies.
I am coming off a fantastic contact high of a delicious D&D game last night. The players were fun and into it, there were too many dick jokes, and the bard kept making stupid puns. It was delightful. And these fine people want to do it again next Sunday! Can I believe this good fortune? What god did I please to deserve this? I got to play FOUR NIGHTS IN A ROW this week. FOUR NIGHTS IN A ROW. That’s more than I’ve played in the past year! And with genuinely funny, clever people. Oh my. My cup runneth over.
I went ahead and posted the new intro stories into the D&D section on this website and will be adding stories as appropriate to the adventure. Our fearless heroes are currently journeying into the vast desert of a magic scarred landscape…the desiccated remains of a once vibrant continent burned into oblivion from a catastrophic war thousands of years ago. Since there isn’t a proper healer in the party, I may even get to play my lovely druid as an NPC ally for the group, just in case someone dies.
I’m planning many puzzles and traps and it is all so delicious I can barely contain myself. God, please let them not get bored long enough for us to make it through ONE FUCKING ADVENTURE. Sigh. Anyway.
In other news, I am reading The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene. So far, it does not suck. As my friend pointed out, though, he does have a lot of balls to write so definitively on such a delicate and complex subject…
Oh, well. I can’t play D&D until next week, so I have to slum it.
Dear god, SO EXCITED!
