Dear Gentle Reader,
Several years ago, a series of journal volumes were brought to my attention. Data had been recorded by hand in an antiquated, written format that had been damaged significantly by time and physical conditions. I was at first inclined to throw them away, but upon additional examination, I found that there was a core of self-discovery, of personhood that seemed rare trapped in the abused pages. As I was just starting to actualize myself at the time, I resonated with many of the comments I could piece together from these works and felt they were worth sharing with others. From what I can tell, the author is a juvenile female, just approaching sexual maturity when the entries start and progresses through mature adulthood. However, there are many pieces missing and misunderstood. I have attempted to represent these entries as faithful to their original translation as possible, though the data was significantly corrupted. The language is also archaic and unusual for this time period and culture; even if the author seems to reference modern-enough experiences. I have been unable to determine the author’s actual identity or location. Regardless, it is a fascinating glimpse into the development of young humans, particularly in stressful environments. Please note: due to the incomplete nature of the raw data and the method of recording, some significant portions were non-recoverable. We have attempted to correct for that as much as possible, but your patience is required.
