Bioengineering 101 - Class 1
In my grand (and ultimately futile) quest to become an eco-warrior that will upset the very fabric of human civilization and put us on an irrevocable path to peace, prosperity, and sustainability, I’d like to learn how to do my own gene editing. Once I learn how to destroy plastics with fungi and grow plants that can eat concrete and steel, it will be much easier to manage the dystopian hellscape we’ve managed to build for ourselves. No one seems to be willing to do the thing…so I’m going to see if I can do the thing.
Today is just a review of cellular machinery and a review of DNA/RNA functions.
